AUSTRALIAN HERITAGE WEEK 2013
Reception for former CAC / DAP / GAF Employees
The AARG is celebrating Australia and Victoria’s unique aviation manufacturing heritage with an afternoon
reception for former employees of the major wartime and post war aircraft manufacturers CAC / DAP / GAF.
A formal reception will occur at 2pm on Sunday 14th of April with coffee/tea and refreshments being served.
Australian Heritage Week is an annual national celebration
of Australia’s unique heritage,
and runs from 13th to 21st April.

PUBLIC EVENT
"LEGENDS OF THE SKIES"
An on-site performance project paying tribute to air legends and flying machines
Writer/Directors: Maggie Morrison, Cheryl Threadgold, Jim Williams
The AARG’s variation on A Night at the Museum will feature
an original script
presented by the Beaumaris Players.
The evening dramatizes the background of
some of the Museum’s aircraft
and the people involved in their operation.
There will be champagne and nibbles before the performance and light refreshments afterwards.
Note: Duration: 90 minutes incl. interval
Please note: the audience moves to various locations inside museum during performance.

A long overdue excursion for A.A.R.G members is a visit to Victoria’s
burgeoning aviation manufacturer
in the La Trobe Valley.
With almost 200 examples of the rugged GA 8 Airvan now
in service in Australia and overseas
it is time we had a look at just what goes into the production of this wonderful aircraft.
