There have in the past been suggestions of concern over the future of the museum, and its aircraft, following a change of management. As a community based not for profit Company, limited by guarantee, the management of the AARG is in the control of the AARG council and its members. At the AGM held in November 2000 the members rejected a proposal to sell the DAP Beaufighter to raise funds for building expansion, and a new council appointed. The AARG has since traded profitably and other strategies are in place to raise funds for the expansions. There are no current threats to the future of the AARG, its collection or the Moorabbin Museum at this time. AARG COUNCIL |
