Canberra A84-226 is the most recent restoration to be completed by the Museum, with completion celebrated in May of 2018, heralding the end of a project that commenced in 2016 with the gifting of Canberra A84-226 by RAAF Heritage to the Museum. What followed was a two year project that saw the aircraft transported from RAAF Base Wagga to the Museums location at Moorabbin Airport and 600 Man Days of restoration work across most of the Air-frame.
The Museum used parts from a 2nd Canberra Bomber A84-222 to complete the restoration of A84-226, with a major target of having the aircraft open for access during the 2017 Family Open Cockpit Weekend, which was acheived.
